Which prop firms actually allow automated trading?

Most modern firms allow it on both eval and funded accounts. A few restrict automation on funded accounts, so always re-check your firm's current rules before going live — they change, and following them is on you.

If I set a loss limit, does it slow my orders down?

No — Shifu passes every alert straight through at full speed. The optional Max-loss and Daily-loss limits are off by default, and automatic enforcement is still rolling out, so for now they’re a number you save rather than an active stop. They’re your limits, not ours, and you stay responsible for your own trading.

Will the prop firm see all my accounts coming from the same IP?

Yes — they're your accounts, so the firm sees them as yours. If several share Shifu's cloud address, a few firms' automated checks can flag that for review even when nothing's wrong; if that ever affects you, reach out and we'll help sort it. Paper accounts don't need it.

What happens if Shifu has an outage mid-trade?

Alerts that arrive twice deduplicate automatically — your bot won't double-fire. We poll the broker every 30 seconds to reconcile state, so if a fill happens while we're recovering, we catch it on the next tick and show it on your dashboard.

How is your pricing this much lower than the rest of the category?

What happens when a webhook fails?

Shifu skips it, on purpose. If the hand-off to your broker fails, that order is marked skipped and stops there — we never push it into the market seconds later. A fill you did not see coming, at a price that has already moved, is worse than a trade that simply did not happen: you can plan around the one you can see. Every skip shows in your activity feed marked skipped, so nothing fails quietly, and the next alert routes as normal.

Do I need a Tradovate or prop firm account to try Shifu?

No. Paper trading is built in. Pick "Paper" on your first account and send test alerts within a minute. Tradovate / NinjaTrader accounts are live. Rithmic is built and ready for its first live account. ProjectX is not switched on yet.

What prop firms does Shifu work with?

Any account that connects over Tradovate or Rithmic — Apex, MyFundedFutures, Tradeify, and more, plus NinjaTrader accounts on either rail. Tradovate / NinjaTrader accounts are live. Rithmic is built and ready for its first live account. ProjectX is not switched on yet. Firms that only sign in over ProjectX — TopstepX and Bulenox — are not supported today. Shifu routes your alerts to your accounts; following each firm’s rules stays yours to manage.

Can I run my strategy across more than one of my own accounts?

Yes. Each account is handled on its own — its own size, its own P&L — so one never touches the others. It's your strategy on your own accounts, never copied or coordinated between traders.

How fast does an alert actually get through?

Fast enough that your fill price is set by the market, not by us — and we deliberately don’t publish a headline number. Here’s why that’s the honest answer: every tool in this category advertises a speed, and almost none of them measure the same thing. Some time the hop to software running on your own computer. Some stop the clock before the broker is even contacted. Ours would start at our front door, because TradingView sends the alert from their infrastructure and we can’t see that leg at all. One number you can check yourself: the Speed column in your dashboard is how long your BROKER took to confirm after we handed the order over — not the trip through us. We’d rather you compare what a tool actually does than a figure none of us define the same way.

Are my broker credentials safe?

Yes. Your broker login is locked (encrypted) the moment you save it. We can't read it, it never lands in our logs, and it's never shown again.

What happens to my open positions if I cancel?

Canceling stops new orders from routing. It never touches positions already open at your broker — those stay where they are, managed by you. Shifu is the wire between your alert and your broker. Pulling the wire does not close your trades.

What is the refund policy?

The 7-day free trial is the evaluation — cancel during it and you pay nothing. The monthly plan is not refunded after billing (cancel anytime to stop the next cycle). The annual plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee on any annual charge, renewals included. Full policy at shifu.trade/refunds.
