Shifu vs TradersPost

Looking for a TradersPost alternative? This is the honest comparison. TradersPost’s figures are from its own pricing page, docs, FAQ and other public pages as read on September 25, 2026. Company names belong to their owners.

Both turn a TradingView alert into an order at your broker without anything running on your computer, and both carry the take-profit, stop and trailing stop in the alert. TradersPost is the broader tool: stocks, options, futures and crypto across many brokers, and a plan ladder priced by how many live accounts you attach. Shifu does one thing — futures on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic accounts you own — with unlimited accounts and bots on one flat price, a journal that writes itself, and Claude or ChatGPT control of the bots included.

What TradersPost’s pages say

  • Four paid plans, each quoted per month billed yearly: Starter $41.65 (1 live account, 4 paper), Basic $84.15 (2 live, 6 paper), Pro $169.15 (3 live, 8 paper), Premium $254.15 (6 live, 10 paper). That is roughly $500 to $3,050 a year.
  • Extra accounts are add-ons on every plan, Starter included: $10/mo for each additional live account and $5/mo for each additional paper account, up to 50.
  • Asset classes are tiered too — one on Starter, all on Premium.
  • A free 7-day trial with no card required. Brokers named on its pages include Tradovate, NinjaTrader (through its Tradovate connection), TradeStation, Interactive Brokers, Alpaca and Coinbase; its prop-firm page says any firm that uses Tradovate or ProjectX for execution is compatible, Topstep and Apex among them.

The same chart as on the pricing page; the TradersPost column is what its pricing page, docs, FAQ and other public pages said on September 25, 2026. “Not listed” means none of those pages said, not that the product lacks it.

What both do

  • Take-profit, stop-loss and a trailing stop carried in the alert and placed with the entry — TradersPost documents takeProfit, stopLoss and trailing-stop parameters in its payload; Shifu documents take_profit, stop_loss, trail_distance and trail_trigger.
  • One alert to several accounts at once. TradersPost calls it Parallel Account Execution; Shifu routes one bot to every attached account.
  • Cloud-hosted: nothing runs on your computer, and both work while it is off.
  • Paper trading: TradersPost has paper accounts on every plan (four to ten, add-ons at $5/mo); Shifu gives every member a Practice account with no cap.
  • Trade records inside the product. TradersPost’s reference manual describes an Analytics dashboard built from saved broker order history, with trades, P&L and a trading calendar, and every signal gets a Trade Execution panel with per-phase timings; Shifu builds its journal from every fill, with broker response time and slippage per trade. Read September 25, 2026; its own Trade Journaling page and docs FAQ still say it does not offer trade journaling or trade-level analytics.

Where TradersPost is strong

  • Breadth. If you trade stocks, options or crypto as well as futures, or your broker is Interactive Brokers, TradeStation or Alpaca, TradersPost reaches them and Shifu does not.
  • Twenty-nine prop firms on its list, reached through Tradovate and ProjectX — including ProjectX firms (Topstep, The Futures Desk) Shifu cannot route to today. Its docs say ProjectX accounts take no bracket with the entry.
  • An AI-signal workflow: any agent or model that can send JSON — GPT, Claude, a custom pipeline — can trade through it, with take-profit, stop and trailing-stop parameters in the payload.
  • Paper accounts on every plan, and a 7-day trial with no card required.

Where Shifu is different

  • One flat plan for unlimited accounts and unlimited bots — the fifth funded account costs the same as the first. On TradersPost each live account past the plan’s count is $10/mo: six live futures accounts is its Starter plan plus five add-ons, $91.65/mo billed yearly, as read on September 25, 2026.
  • Futures only, on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic accounts. Nothing else, on purpose.
  • The AI runs the other way. Claude or ChatGPT can operate Shifu itself over MCP — create and pause bots, attach accounts, read the journal, never place an order. TradersPost’s AI workflow takes an agent’s trade signals in and executes them.
  • Shifu’s opt-in news shield holds a bot’s new entries for the whole trading day of a high-impact release, from a release calendar built into Shifu. TradersPost holds new entries with Trading Windows — days and times you set on a strategy subscription — and its blog shows them set around FOMC and CPI; its futures docs link to outside calendars, and a built-in calendar is not listed on its pages (read September 25, 2026).

Choose TradersPost if

  • You trade more than futures, or your account is not on Tradovate, NinjaTrader or Rithmic.
  • Your prop firm signs in only over ProjectX. TradersPost names Topstep and The Futures Desk there and says any firm that uses ProjectX is compatible, with no bracket on ProjectX entries; Shifu does not route to ProjectX today.
  • Your firm is one of the 29 prop-firm integrations its page names and it does not sign in over Tradovate or Rithmic.

Choose Shifu if

  • You run several funded futures accounts and want one alert to place the same order on all of them, sized per account, with no per-account fees.
  • You want Claude or ChatGPT to run your bots, and a news shield that reads its own release calendar, included at $40 a month.

Questions people ask

Can I move a TradersPost alert to Shifu without rewriting it?

Only when the message uses what Shifu reads. From a TradersPost message Shifu reads the ticker, the action (buy, sell or exit), a quantity in contracts, and a take-profit and stop given as prices (takeProfit.limitPrice and stopLoss.stopPrice), and it enters at market. It does not read sentiment, stops or targets given as amounts or percents, trailing stops, limit or stop entries, quantityType, or the add, cancel, reverse, breakeven and resize actions. TradersPost’s standard strategy message carries sentiment, so paste the ready-made message from your bot’s Setup tab instead.

Does Shifu support stocks, options or crypto?

No. Shifu routes futures contracts only — the CME index, energy, metals, rates, FX and CME crypto futures listed in the docs — to Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic accounts. For other asset classes, TradersPost is the better fit.

What does Shifu cost for six live accounts?

The same as for one: $40 a month or $480 a year, with no per-account fees. On TradersPost, six live futures accounts is its Starter plan (one live account, one asset class) at $41.65 a month billed yearly plus five extra live accounts at $10 a month each — $91.65 a month, about $1,100 a year. Its Premium plan includes six live accounts and every asset class for $254.15 a month billed yearly. Read September 25, 2026.
