Shifu vs PickMyTrade

Looking for a PickMyTrade alternative? This is the honest comparison. PickMyTrade’s figures are from its own pricing page, docs, FAQ and other public pages as read on September 25, 2026. Company names belong to their owners.

These two are close. Both take a TradingView alert and place it on every account you attach with the take-profit and stop from the alert, both run a Tradovate trailing stop, both offer a news filter, and both connect prop-firm accounts. The pricing differs in one place that matters: PickMyTrade covers unlimited accounts under ONE broker login and asks for another subscription for each further login — a second Tradovate or Rithmic login, even at the same prop firm — while Shifu is one $40 plan however many logins you connect. PickMyTrade reaches more platforms (ProjectX prop firms, forex and CFD brokers) and offers a no-card trial; Shifu is futures on Tradovate, NinjaTrader and Rithmic, and adds what happens after the fill: a journal that writes itself and Claude or ChatGPT control of the bots.

What PickMyTrade’s pages say

  • Monthly $50, quarterly $135 per 91 days, yearly $500 ($600 shown struck) on pickmytrade.trade/pages/pricing as read September 25, 2026; pickmytrade.io’s pricing page showed $50 a month, $135 per 3 months and $500 a year the same day.
  • One feature tier: unlimited trades, strategies, tickers and sub-accounts under one broker login. A second broker login — a second Tradovate or Rithmic login, even at the same prop firm — needs its own subscription (their multi-account page and docs, read September 25, 2026; their Rithmic FAQ puts it at $50 a month per broker connection).
  • A 7-day free trial with no card, one broker connection per trial. No refunds after payment (their Terms, September 2026).
  • Platforms named: Tradovate, Rithmic, Interactive Brokers, TradeStation, TradeLocker, ProjectX (TopstepX, Tradeify), Match-Trader, Tradier, Ironbeam and cTrader; Tastytrade is listed as coming soon. A page on pickmytrade.io says it does not automate MT4, MT5, NinjaTrader, DXtrade or OANDA, and its platform FAQ describes routing to NinjaTrader-compatible prop firms and brokers over Rithmic or Tradovate (both read September 25, 2026).

What both do

  • Take-profit and stop-loss from the alert, placed with the entry. PickMyTrade documents SL/TP in price, points, dollars or percent and OCO brackets on ProjectX; Shifu documents take_profit and stop_loss as prices or in ticks, points or dollars.
  • A trailing stop with an arm-after trigger on Tradovate, run by Tradovate itself. PickMyTrade documents trail_trigger, trail_stop and trail_freq with the trailing handled by Tradovate (docs updated September 4, 2026); Shifu documents trail_trigger and trail_distance.
  • One alert to every attached account at once, sized per account — PickMyTrade’s multi-account trading, Shifu’s account routing.
  • A news filter. PickMyTrade’s news-aware settings, in its Tradovate docs, stop new orders for a set number of minutes before and after high-impact releases on a list of symbols (6A, 6B, 6J, 6E and 6M shown; others added on request), with an option to flatten first (docs updated September 16, 2026); Shifu’s red-folder shield is opt-in per bot and holds new entries for the whole trading day of a listed release.
  • Cloud-hosted for Tradovate, Rithmic and ProjectX: nothing runs on your computer. PickMyTrade’s Interactive Brokers route needs TWS or IB Gateway running: its IB setup doc (updated September 4, 2026) says TWS must stay open and suggests a VPS, and its Interactive Brokers page (read September 25, 2026) also offers a PickMyTrade cloud connection for it.
  • Paper trading: PickMyTrade connects to your broker’s demo account; Shifu includes its own Practice account.
  • Demo, evaluation and funded prop-firm accounts, connected the way the firm issues them.
  • Accounts traders also use in NinjaTrader, when the broker is Tradovate or Rithmic. PickMyTrade’s platform FAQ describes routing to NinjaTrader-compatible prop firms and brokers over Rithmic or Tradovate, and a page on pickmytrade.io says it does not automate NinjaTrader (both read September 25, 2026); Shifu routes to NinjaTrader accounts over the same two rails.

Where PickMyTrade is strong

  • ProjectX. PickMyTrade routes to ProjectX-based firms such as TopstepX and Tradeify today, with OCO brackets there; Shifu’s ProjectX route is not switched on yet.
  • Forex and CFD brokers alongside futures, if you trade both — TradeLocker, Match-Trader and cTrader.
  • A no-card trial and a quarterly plan.
  • Daily and weekly loss limits per account and trading-hour windows, set in its dashboard (docs updated August 31 and September 16, 2026).

Where Shifu is different

  • A trade journal built from every fill, with broker response time and slippage per trade, and Claude or ChatGPT control of your bots (MCP), both included. PickMyTrade’s own FAQ says it is not a full journaling or analytics product, and AI control is not listed.
  • One plan for every login: $40 a month or $480 a year covers every account and every broker login you connect, with no per-account or per-login fees. PickMyTrade charges one subscription per broker login.

Choose PickMyTrade if

  • Your prop firm only signs in over ProjectX (TopstepX, Tradeify), or you want OCO brackets there.
  • You also trade forex or CFDs through TradeLocker or Match-Trader and want one tool for both.
  • You want to try it with no card on file.

Choose Shifu if

  • You trade futures on Tradovate, NinjaTrader or Rithmic accounts and want the alert, the fill, the journal and the practice account in one place.
  • You have more than one broker login — several prop-firm logins, or Tradovate plus Rithmic — and want one bill.
  • You want the journal and AI control without a second subscription.

Questions people ask

Can I move a PickMyTrade alert to Shifu without rewriting it?

For entries, exits and trailing stops, yes: Shifu reads the message format PickMyTrade alerts use. A take-profit and stop carry over when the alert sends them as dollar_tp and dollar_sl, which Shifu reads as points from the alert price; a stop or target sent as tp, sl, percentage_tp or percentage_sl has to be rewritten in Shifu’s own fields. Shifu does not move a stop or target from a later alert, so turn off update_sl and update_tp and put the trail in the entry alert.

Does Shifu work with Apex, TopstepX or Bulenox?

Many Apex, MyFundedFutures and Tradeify accounts sign in over Rithmic, which Shifu routes to today. Firms that only sign in over ProjectX — TopstepX, and Tradeify’s ProjectX accounts — are not supported by Shifu today; PickMyTrade routes to them. Bulenox’s own site has you install R | Trader Pro to set up its account and names Rithmic, not ProjectX (read September 25, 2026). Whether a firm allows automation on its accounts is its own rule, so check it before you connect.

Which is cheaper?

For one broker login: $50 against $40 a month, $500 against $480 a year, and PickMyTrade also sells $135 per 91 days. A second broker login doubles PickMyTrade’s bill and leaves Shifu’s unchanged. PickMyTrade does not refund after payment; Shifu’s pricing page shows any launch offer of its own with its end date — check both pages on the day.

Where do these PickMyTrade numbers come from?

From pickmytrade.trade’s pricing and multi-account pages, pickmytrade.io’s pricing page and other pages there, its Rithmic FAQ, its docs FAQ and its Terms, as they read on September 25, 2026 (the trial was five days when the same page was read on September 14).
